Watch: Justin Fields Gives Bears 10-0 Lead Over Patriots
Justin Fields looks a lot more confident tonight. He’s 5-for-6 for 70 yards in the first quarter, including 3-for-3 on a drive that just resulted in Chicago’s first touchdown of the game. The second-year quarterback punched it in from three yards out on a quarterback draw to give the Bears a 10-0 lead. Credit Cairo Santos with the extra point.
The Bears’ offense has been impressive tonight, cutting through the New England defense with precision-like effectiveness. The Patriots were favored by 8.5 points when the game started.
Of Note: Lucas Patrick is hurt, was carted off the field, and was replaced by Sam Mustipher at center.
