Watch: Patriots Bizarre Lateral Play Gives Raiders Shocking Last-Second Win
The game between the Las Vegas Raiders and the New England Patriots appeared like it was headed for overtime after a Vegas touchdown tied the game at 24 in the final minute. With three seconds on the clock the Pats appeared to run a draw play to running back Rhamondre Stevenson, then all hell broke loose.

Stevenson flipped the ball to receiver Jakobi Meyers who then retreated 20 yards towards midfield and tried to throw a backwards pass across the field to quarterback Mac Jones. Former Patriot linebacker Chandler Jones was is in the passing lane and grabbed the ball. Chandler steamrolled Mac and rumbled 48-yards to the winning touchdown with no time on the clock.
The question of why the Patriots would run such a play when they weren’t losing the game remains to be answered. Whatever the reason, it was one of the most memorable finishes in NFL history.
