Bears Sign LB T.J. Edwards to Three Year Deal
The Bears made their first signing during NFL free agency Monday, adding former Eagles middle linebacker T.J. Edwards. The Illinois native signed a three-year $19.5 million contract $12 million of which is guaranteed.
He gets $19.5M over 3 years, source said. $12M guaranteed. A big signing for Chicago, and not the last. https://t.co/HSeLf0z6IB

The 26-year-old Edwards went undrafted after four productive seasons for the Wisconsin Badgers. He started on special teams after signing with the Eagles and worked his way to a starting role by 2021. He started all 17 games for the NFC champions last season and recorded 99 solo tackles and 2 sacks.
Bringing in a key piece of the outstanding Philadelphia defense will definitely help the Bears in 2023. This is just the start of what’s expected to be a flurry of free agent signings for Chicago this off-season. They still have nearly $70 million of cap space to work with after this move.
