Bears Sign LB Tremaine Edmunds
The Bears made a major splash in free agency signing one of the best available linebackers, former Buffalo Bill Tremaine Edmunds to a four-year $72 million contract. $50 million of the Virginia Tech alum’s deal will be guaranteed.
It is a frontloaded 4-year, $72M deal for Tremaine Edmunds, with $50M guaranteed. Huge. https://t.co/VETmU9liHL

The 24-year-old has reached two pro bowls and has been an important piece of a very good Buffalo defense. The former first round pick has tremendous size and outstanding speed. He was highly sought by NFL teams this off-season.
Edmunds and T.J. Edwards will form the middle of the Bears 3-4 linebacker unit. It will undoubtedly be a major upgrade over Chicago’s 2022 defense which struggled mightily.
The Bears will still need to address their offensive and defensive lines which were not good last season. This is definitely a promising start however.
