Bears Won’t Play Chiefs in Germany
The Bears 2023 schedule drops today, but one thing is for certain, and that’s that Chicago will not be traveling to Germany to play the Chiefs. The NFL announced its five-game international slate Wednesday morning, and the Bears were not part of the lineup.
Full NFL international schedule:
Week 4: Falcons vs. Jaguars (London)
Week 5: Jaguars vs. Bills (Tottenham)
Week 6: Ravens vs Titans (Tottenham)
Week 9: Dolphins vs. Chiefs (Frankfurt)
Week 10: Colts vs. Patriots (Frankfurt)

You can’t blame the Chiefs for wanting a marquee matchup that features Patrick Mahomes and Justin Fields played at a neutral site. Mahomes is the reigning MVP, and Fields is part of the conversation for that award as soon as this season. NBC Sports’ Peter King reported this week the Chiefs requested the Bears not be their international opponent. They’ll play the Dolphins overseas instead.
The Bears’ 2023 opponents already are set. At home, they will play the Lions, Packers, Vikings, Falcons, Panthers, Broncos, Raiders, and Cardinals. The Bears will go on the road to play the Lions, Packers, Vikings, Chiefs, Saints, Buccaneers, Chargers, Commanders, and Browns.
The NFL will release this year’s schedule this evening at 7 PM, and you can watch it live on the NFL Network.
