Injury Update: Rome Odunze Week-to-Week Following MCL Sprain
Rome Odunze was the 9th pick in the 2024 NFL draft, and there’s a lot of reason to be excited about the young receiver as he begins his rookie campaign. Much of that excitement is now getting muted thanks to an injury Odunze sustained on this play to his MCL.
Velus Jones and a Titans player collide with Rome Odunze and he goes down awkwardly late in the 4th quarter. I would expect this is the play where Odunze was potentially injured. pic.twitter.com/JO6tKdCBD8

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Odunze is being considered week-to-week, which is about the best news we could hope for. Odunze finished with three targets and one reception for 11 yards, so there was not much to measure him off of in his first career game.
Caleb Williams finished 14-for-29 with only 93 yards passing in his debut. That was good enough for a meager QBR of 55.7. The expectation — or at least the hope — is that Williams will begin to adjust to the NFL and get progressively better over the next several games. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like his stud rookie wideout will be there to grow with him, at least not for a game or three.
Additional updates to come when we learn more.
