Watch: Tom Thayer Lauds Jack Sanborn’s Explosiveness
Studio and radio analyst Tom Thayer is a big fan of Jack Sanborn. The undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin and Lake Zurich native had the best game as a pro in Sunday’s 31-30 loss to the Lions. Sanborn had a 10-tackle, two-sack game against the Lions, a feat Roquan Smith did not accomplish until his 27th start. Sanborn has two starts under his belt.
The rookie linebacker finished with 12 tackles, two sacks, two TFLs, and two quarterback hits. He also had an interception that might have led to a Bears win, except it was negated by a Jaylon Johnson penalty.
With Sanborn’s addition to the lineup, the Bears are now starting four rookies on defense. Kyler Gordon, Jaquan Brisker, and Dominique Robinson are the others.
