WR D.J. Moore and Bears Agree to Four-Year $110 Million Contract Extension

When the Bears traded for wide receiver D.J. Moore with the first overall draft pick before the 2023 draft it was widely expected that he would sign a contract extension. Moore instead kind of surprisingly played the whole season on his current contract and did an excellent job with 1364 receiving yards, 96 catches, and eight touchdowns. Now Chicago has finally rewarded him at the start of 2024 training camp with a four-year $110 million contract extension.

DJ Moore and the Bears reached agreement on a four-year, $110 million extension that includes $82.6M guaranteed. The deal was negotiated by Drew Rosenhaus, Jason Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey.

Adam Schefter from ESPN reports $82 million of the contract is fully guaranteed. The Bears wide receivers are significantly better than last season with the addition of Keenan Allen via trade from the Chargers and the drafting of Rome Odunze with the 9th overall pick in the 2024 Draft.

Quarterback Caleb Williams should have plenty of available targets as he attempts to make the transition to the NFL. If all goes to plan, Chicago should have a significantly better passing game this year.
